A FAMILY LEGACY BUILT OVER TIME
Razny Jewelers began in 1951, when Stanley and Jane Razny opened a small store in Oak Park, Illinois. After immigrating to Chicago from Poland, they built their business on craftsmanship, discipline and trust, principles that continue to guide Razny Jewelers today.
Stan Razny did not plan to enter the family business. He studied accounting at Marquette University, where he met Ingrid. Both became CPAs and began careers in the corporate world.
In 1986, when a bench jeweler left the store, Stan stepped in. What was meant to be temporary became permanent and set the course for the company’s future.
After taking over the business, Stan sold the Oak Park location, purchased property in Addison and established what would become the flagship location. In 1997, Ingrid joined him, leaving her corporate career to build the business alongside him.
That same year, Razny Jewelers began forming partnerships with the world’s most respected Swiss timepiece brands, relationships that would shape the next chapter of the company. From that point forward, the direction was clear: focus on quality, build lasting partnerships and grow with discipline.
Expanding with Purpose
Building on that foundation, Razny Jewelers expanded across the Chicago area to better serve clients, opening Highland Park in 2003, Hinsdale in 2008 and Oak Street in Chicago’s Gold Coast in 2016. Today, all four locations operate with the same standards established from the beginning:

This approach carries through natural diamonds, Swiss timepieces and Razny’s own collections, including Refined by Razny, Forever by Razny, and Razny Exclusive
The Next Generation
Today, the third generation continues to build on this foundation, with Eric, Christine and Michael Razny, along with Michael’s wife, Spencer, actively involved in the business. Each brings a distinct perspective, grounded in the same principles.
